Private Physiotherapy in Medway
Private, specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy for patients across the Medway towns, from a clinic built around unhurried one to one care.
Physiotherapy for Medway, without the wait
NHS waiting lists across Medway can run into months, and a great deal of private physiotherapy is delivered in ten or fifteen minute slots on a busy gym floor. Neither gives you much of a chance to work out what is actually going on.
BetterMe works differently. The clinic sits in Rainham, minutes from the A2 and easily reached from anywhere in Medway, and every appointment is private, unhurried and one to one with a specialist MSK physiotherapist.
You will not be handed a printed exercise sheet and sent away. You will leave understanding your problem and knowing exactly what happens next.

Learn moreWhere private physiotherapy fits alongside the NHS
Medway is reasonably well served for physiotherapy on paper. There is an NHS musculoskeletal service you can self refer into, a hospital service at Medway Maritime, and several private providers operating out of gyms and medical centres across Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.
What varies enormously is time. NHS waits for routine musculoskeletal appointments frequently run into months, and once seen, appointment slots are necessarily short. A good deal of private provision is delivered in fifteen or twenty minute blocks on a shared gym floor, which is fine for some problems and inadequate for anything requiring genuine investigation.
BetterMe exists in the gap. Longer appointments, entirely one to one, with a physiotherapist holding MACP accreditation, which just over 1,200 practitioners nationally have achieved. That combination is uncommon locally, and it is the whole reason the clinic was set up the way it was.
It is not the right answer for everybody. If your problem is straightforward and you are content to wait, the NHS service does a good job. If you have already waited, already been seen, or already tried the short appointment route without lasting progress, this is a different proposition.
Reaching us from across the Medway towns
The clinic sits in Rainham, at the eastern end of the Medway towns and a short run off the A2. From Chatham and Gillingham it is a straightforward ten to fifteen minutes. From Rochester and Strood, closer to twenty. From Hoo, Cuxton and the villages on the peninsula, the A228 and A2 make it a manageable journey and considerably easier than crossing into Maidstone.
Dedicated parking sits directly outside the clinic. Evening appointments run until 9pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday availability, so appointments rarely need to eat into a working day.
