What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and telephone number when you complete the enquiry form
- Brief details of the problem you are enquiring about, such as the area affected and how long it has been going on
- Anything else you choose to tell us in the message field or by WhatsApp
Information collected automatically
- Pages visited, time on page and how you arrived at the site
- Device type, browser and approximate location derived from your IP address
- Anonymous interaction data such as scrolling and clicks, used to understand how the site is used
Analytics cookies only run if you have given permission. If you choose essential only, no analytics or session recording takes place.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, namely replying to someone who has contacted us. Where your enquiry includes health information, we rely on the provision of health care as the special category condition.
- To arrange and provide treatment. Lawful basis: contract and provision of health care.
- To improve the website. Lawful basis: consent, given through the cookie banner.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We use the following processors, each of whom handles data on our instructions only:
- Formspree to deliver enquiry form submissions to our inbox
- Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace) to manage appointment bookings
- Google for Analytics and Tag Manager, where you have consented
- Microsoft for Clarity analytics, where you have consented
- WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us that way
- Hostinger for website hosting
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Website enquiries that do not become appointments: up to 12 months
- Clinical records: retained in line with professional requirements, normally 8 years from the last appointment
- Analytics data: up to 14 months
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted encrypted and access to our inbox and clinical records is restricted and password protected.
